after the dialogue session today, i went down to suntec to the Singapore Toy and Comic Convention 2008.
for what? hmm, to be honest, to buy otto fong's new comic book. i always found his comics refreshing and this new book didn't disappoint me. not for light-hearted reading though. quite science heavy!
but, the trip didn't come easy. i braved the crowds on the mrt, citylink mall and suntec. in the convention hall, i was lost and took me sometime to find the booth. worst of all? i realised i don't have enough cash with me for the book. took a round trip to the ground floor to search for an atm and back.
yet, i still found the book nice. also, i met jackson and jackie (who only saw me when i snapped my fingers in front of his face) there. oh, did i mention i met mr paul lim at the booth? still the same old person whom i first met during my exlab in 2004 ('shermon you have stretched vertically since then'). throw in the numerous cute girls who were cosplaying and the trip doesn't look wasted. lotsa nice stuffs around but no money to convert wants into material gains
as usual, this trip was 'one man operation', meaning it was done alone. i have gotten used to doing things alone. sometimes, i must admit, the feeling is quite nice.
but i know, in the end, there are times when solitude will not be condoned.
