while going out yesterday, i had a rude shock. tapping my ez-link card on the reader produced a "beep!" shrill instead of the normal "beep beep" that i was used to. that only meant one thing: i am paying adult transport fare now. it means that my student days are well and truly over (university days notwithstanding). the transport cost of going out now quadruples or quintuples with this change. that means less travelling and more rotting at home.
