today would have been rather uneventful if not because of 2 things. first, there's the rain which reduced visibility around my house to around 500 m.
next was something that was rather infuriating and i couldn't really do anything about it. basically, i boarded 13 on my way home. due to the evening peak hour crowd, i just stood at the standing area listening to my mp3 like some nondescript 18 year old cool dude (ok not that cool but still cool). then, this couple (one from rj and the other was from vj) boarded the bus and settled somewhere like 1 m to my front-right. i have nothing against couples but what they did somewhat irks me. the girl, who was being held tightly by the guy, was squirming in his hands while trying to whisper sweet nothings in his ears (she couldnt reach his ears though). basically, they were so intimate in their actions that some other people were turning their heads towards them. of cos, i, the poor guy, was stuck there as the bus was really kind of jam-packed. in order to block out those possibly mushy sweet nothings, i turned up the volume of my mp3 and tried to keep a straight face and look straight ahead of me.
i was just fretting about whether this couple would be alighting before me and thus easing the agony when the guy on my other side alighted. then i saw 153 just behind 13 at the bus stop. not caring about having to pay more if i take 153, i immediately alighted and boarded 153 just to get away from that spot as well as save my ears from having to listen to slightly loud music for too long.
seriously, people like this should go get a room to themselves and just let innocent commuters like me have a peaceful ride without having to put up with their antics.
but otherwise, today is rather uneventful.
