blog
my mbti personality test indicates that i am a judgemental person.
perhaps subconsciously i am, but consciously i must say that i have been making an effort not to judge a person or his/her actions. what's the point of judging whether something is good or bad? it is pointless.
in fact, the very idea of judging others is flawed. to be able to pass judgement on others accurately, you need to have perfect knowledge and know everything. however, since you do not know everything, your judgements will invariably be flawed. in that case, what gives you the right to be judgemental then?
when a glass is half filled with water, instead of judging whether having a half filled/half empty glass is good or bad, why not divert the effort to think about how to maximise the potential and usage of that glass of water.
it sounds saintly and is really easier said than done. nevertheless, it shall remain as an ideal that i strive to achieve.
even if i know jolly well that i can't reach it. but then, that's being judgemental.
