argh!
i have been travelling to ntu everyday for chem o training. not too sure why they will want to hold at nie. apparently nie claims nus is taking the lead in icho training (and they are gloating about the lack of golds in icho for the past years). why not just let us train at nus? it is so far that a 3hr session is about as long as the total amount of time i take to travel to and fro ntu. i wish that the circle line better be up as fast as possible. when i study at local uni, either nus or ntu, the circle will cut down travelling times. besides, i am sick of outram park mrt station now.
the night before, i spent half the night angsting away about a particular cca to the no 2. i wasn't too happy about some new phenomena (neither is she) and when i tried to feedback to the chair in an exco msn mass convo, who in my opinion isn't doing much about it, no 1 and no 3 decided that mugging for cts is more impt. yeah right i am sure both of you are mugging at 11pm on monday night >< i am just pissed and frustrated with how certain things work at this cca. i never had problem with recas, csc just got a good batch of j1s who are very nice and helpful + the ccal is TRULY receptive and responsive to feedback and alchemy is just full of people who are fun. well, perhaps joining this cca is a mistake on hindsight but i guess i shall just hold on to the end since i have already endured 9 months+. maybe i should just work doubly hard to get into icho team and have an extra reason to not go meetings. perhaps i am just being perceptive and emotional.
anyway today i was saved from a potentially embarrassing situation. lets just say i asked X out for lunch today (had to burn away 1pm to 6pm today). X asked if could bring friends along (X mugging with friends). i said ok. then i worried about the potential complications of a multiple body system which is not easy to resolve, physically or otherwise. just when i was cracking about how to resolve this problem, X said that one friend violently objected to the idea (have no idea on the grounds but i do not wish to know about it). one part of me was disappointed (just that infinitesimally disappointed) but the other part of me felt relieved (very very relieved).
sometimes i just have to look on the bright side of things. stop being so pessimistic. perhaps the light at the end of the tunnel ain't a pair of train headlights but just sunlight.
besides, i need to start settling down real quickly into the ct-mugging mood. i am still stuck on econs. maths needs practise and phy need definitions committed to memory. as for chem, i have given up long ago.
i shall start tmr since icho training officially ends tmr. after a short jog (haven't done that since sun), i shall start intensive studying session. i, unlike some people (eg ipho training team), cannot skip cts because they have a dept head (who happens to be my civics tutor) who argued for their exemption while the chem dept people clearly thinks that we icho phase 1 trainees are veterans at juggling between study, icho, cca, free time, leisure, exercise.
the truth is, there is nothing further from the truth in my case.
