ok maybe not transpiration, but rather something like what transpired since last post...
14th feb: vday. i decided to be extra nice by giving the 2nd row girls (sounds like some periodic table classification but that's outta topic) some erm sweets. how creative >< to be fair i gave all of them equal number of each type of sweet. although they assured me that they will not do such menial comparisons, 2 mins later they were promptly comparing the number of different colours i used to write their cards -.-
15th feb: sats score out. flunked it bad. need to retake. have 2 years though. anyway 15th feb was take 5! ok the only 2 good things in take 5 are the sam and benny dance with wei song as the guest beatboxer and the tan i got on my forearms while walking around the whole ccab trying to look for some people. sam and benny just makes everyone else pale in comparison. no words can do justice to their dance imo. anw after tt went to west mall with sarge & co. to watch ghost rider. spent $14 cos the show was starting and we were famished. all i can say is that i utterly regretted watching ghost rider. at least daredevil was better.
16th feb: clean up of house for cny. the shou shui dota game didnt materialise.
17th feb: cny first day. tired and just irritated by the poor ventilation inside this temple with all the stinging joss stick fumes. the sweat and humidity just compounded the problems. went for a sumptous lunch with my family at soup restaurant at airport terminal 2 (the only soup restaurant outlet open). the food was good and i guess the food would have taste good even if i was not hungry anyway.
18th feb: slept till 11. went to my paternal grandmother's house. slacked there for sometime b4 going to a chalet by my mother's aunt. stayed there till 11? came back tired and smelly from the bbq but it was still a good time spent.
19th feb: still went visiting. came back, started doing ihc computer interface. spent 3 hrs doing a simple scoreboard (with an hr wasted on wiki-surfing).
as can be seen, my cny holidays were not very packed but rather relaxing. it is sad that it is now ending and the cold dose of reality like homework comes back to haunt us. this year, i somehow seem to relish visiting. it must be due to my lack of anymore pocket money this month and have to resort to getting money from hongpaos to subsist for the next 6 school days. also, i discovered that amazing race all stars have started. time to catch up on a bit of tv i missed last year (=
i just realised, a person good in chemistry is in demand from 2 sectors, those making illegal/banned drugs and terrorists. for the former, the material benefits are high although it is a dog-eat-dog industry. for the latter, the lack of material benefits can sometimes be compensated by spiritual fulfilment and you do not need to actually execute your reactions. you have minions to do it instead. hmmm, the career options for studying chemistry seems rather attractive, interesting and exotic. perhaps i should consider them too.
i guess it is time to sleep. a long week beckons.
