on last friday was nus h3 chem again. anyway, the lecture (and the lecturer) is getting a bit more interesting and i am sleeping less. here are some quotes from friday's lecture:
1) When he showed a graph of some gas properties, he said, "This (graph) is surprising, but none of you seem surprised."
2) When it was near the end of the lecture at around 5.30 pm, he said, "I guess you are hungry... (slight pause) for more (information)..."
3) At the end, he said again, "I think you are not satisfied, so let me give you somemore..."
i swear h3 chem is getting interestings.
anyway, this little incident happened today.
i was at the pull up bars near my home, training for pull ups. i was doing the usual struggling to do a proper pull up.
this guy, who looks like 30+ and hairline starting to recede a bit, came to the pull up beside me.
he was not much taller than me (same height i guess), yet he chose a much higher bar than i was using.
he jumped up and did 20 pull ups in 1 go and then walked away.
i was speechless at that moment. and i was stunned too.
was he mocking me or just couldn't resist the chance to show off his pull up prowess in front of a noob like me?
i stood there for a good 3 mins looking at the intimidating bar i was under. even it seemed to be mocking at me.
one day, i am going to conquer that bar. one day, i swear.
that day better come soon, like before napfa.
