ok, so my last post was 5 days ago. so what transpired these few days?
sun - nth much
mon - ok this day was hexed. basically, i was deciding to go for the befrienders' session or not. when left to my indecisive mind, i just crumbled and decided to enlist the help of this great decision making mechanism called the coin toss. if it was someone else's problem, it would have been hilarious. the coin toss results, for at least 20 consecutive tosses, indicated tt i should go for the session. changing coins as well as asking others to choose did not seem to help either. ok, so Murphy's Law was at work here. wdv. anyway, decided to go in the end and it is sufficient to say that the session was rather okay. not as bad i expected. btw, out of 3 male befrienders in my class, i was the only one who turned up.
tues - morning pe played badminton where i realised tt my backhand was lacking basic returning power. time to train my backhand. anyway, there was the 2nd session for befrienders again. this time, there is a twist, ppl like ee sin were attending. sufficient to say, the session was hilarious and seeing ee sin (attempting to) dance and zeyan attempted (futilely) to be ee sin's 'female' partner formed the bulk of the fun that session. not as enjoyable as the first one imo cos my partner helped to teach one of the guys who didnt come on monday to dance (namely foo chay yeow).
wed - spent most of the day doing this rss aggregator program for csc for open house. since i will not be able to go down to the booth on friday, i think this is probably my best possible contribution to csc's open house booth. took me 5 hours to do it and i m rather pleased with the result. it can parse most rss feeds properly, including major news agencies and blogspot's. however, it cant parse google news' feeds as flash does not have in-built support for parsing html table codes. anyway, read about chad hurley and steve chen. not a bad deal for both of them. most of the doubts were on google. did sergey brin and larry page make a bad decision? only time will tell i guess.
tt's all for now. no reflection parts as i'm too busy these few days to spend some time to sit down and reflect/angst about life. tt's all for now.
and i think i m getting too sensitive to some stuffs and too desensitized towards others.
