The croc hunter is gone. He got owned not by crocs, not by reptiles, not by cheetahs, he got owned by a stingray. What is more freaky is that he is the 3rd known case of such a case in Australia in recorded history. Nevertheless, he has probably brought the concept of animal conservation and knowledge to the world. I like what I read in some article. He did not champion the protection of animals which are cute, cuddly and lovable like koalas and pandas, he championed the protection of fearsome and killer animals like crocs. It is not easy convincing people to protect animals which can kill and he did just that. What Steve Irwin has done, it is difficult for another person to step into his shoes and continue his work.
