Ok, today my mother bought these so-called 'special' dragonfruits (those kind of fruits with white meat dotted with black seeds while looking bad on the outside). Apparently she heard from one of her 'auntie' friends that this type of dragonfruits can have wide-ranging effects and was not hesitant in paying more for it. When she cut it up, the first impression was that 'Whoa, someone drenched this dragonfruit in potassium permaganate (KMnO4)' The juice that flowed out of the fruit really resembled KMnO4. I told my sis about my thoughts and she, surprisingly, said that she used KMnO4 before and it really resembled it. After much suspicion, my mother rang up that friend of hers (not before we had finished our portions) and wondered if it was really dyed. I was like -_-" A bit the late hor. Maybe my stomach will have a funny reaction with HCl competing to react with KMnO4...
