blog
Today went for rec bad with gar goei, ee sin and sarge. Not a bad outing with adeqaute workout for me. ee sin and sarge are pro. gar goei a bit less pro, but still pro. kept trying drop shots and failing about 60% of the time. racket a bit heavy and thus need to buy a new and lighter one.
walked to mrt with gar goei, chay yeow and kin wai after rec bad. chay yeow can really sing and we were singing nice chinese songs along the way to mrt and in the process attracting some weird looks here and there.
today phy spa i was that close to screwing up. first, the length of string i measured to 1 m, but i forgot that addition weight lengthens the string and thus i got marked down on that. next, i realised that i forgot to bring long ruler. nvm cos i got 15 cm ruler. then, i realised tt i left my pencil in my bag. no pencil = no margin error when drawing graph and i forgot tt i could ask for a pencil from the teacher -___-" that was my first time drawing graph with pen and it has to be on my phy spa -___-"
nothing much interesting in these past few days. grandfather passed away, but my family on that side is talking to each other again. blessing in disguise i must say.
and yes, it felt liberating when i forgot to bring my hmwrk file to sch which contains my lecture notes, tutorials and all other stuffs. i was brought back to reality when i had nothing to do from 11.30am to 4pm today. just wasted these hours away while i could have done a tutorial or 2 if i brought my file.
sigh, c'est la vie. we often want everything, but we can't have everything.
and oh, i succeeded in accomplishing something and also joining the institute of high performance computing (ihpc) competition. hope my team gets 1st (willy, ackerley and me). we have to beat not only teams from rj (incl. a j2 team with 2 members in the internationl olympiad in informatics singapore team and one of this 2 was the first singaporean to win a gold medal) but also teams from hci with pro programmers and some other good ppl (like those in exlabs). at least the prizes are good.
