Ytd went back to rj for half a day for ri's 183rd founder's day. Haha, it is so nice just to see every1 together again. Of course, it is so nice to see chow being the centre of attraction for once cos he has chosen to go low profile in rj.
They told us to assemble by 8 in lt6. Then, it turned out tt rj guys are given till 9.15 to roam around and do their own stuffs -__-" In the end played frisbee with gtay, shaggy, ggy, lawry, lui. VD was on the verge of tears with the constant dropping of his beloved frisbee on the ground. The ceremony started at like 10+. Kept on dragging until like 12 with those going for ccal camp complaining about having like 30 mins only to change up and eat lunch.
HQ suggested going to look for boon huat after the ceremony and take some photos since he is leaving. Ran from hall to amphi then back to hall then to ri just looking for him, getting sweaty in the process. Meanwhile, hq was complaining about the puny amount of $80 that the collyer price awarded him as he expected much more from 'an ang moh sponsor'. I told him that if he feels that the $80 is too little, I can always take over possession of the $80. He reduced his frequency of complaints thereafter.
After much travelling, finally found boon huat and took photos with him since that was his last official duty day. Still have not gotten the photos from hq yet. Anyway, besides boon huat, tan chee wan and tang swee noi are also leaving. Why is 60% of the nice teachers in risec4gep2005 leaving? Tan chee wan is going back to moe hq (a promotion i guess), boon huat going to coral sec to be hod of sci (nearer for him) and tang swee noi i m not sure. RI is gonna miss tan chee wan's funny videos and his niceness, tang swee noi and her nice ss/hist lessons with chupa chups as well as boon huat's ego-deflating lessons and his unconventional physics projects (come to think of it, i would have never thought of building an em ship or a rubber band-powered plane if not because of the phyx projects). The only nice teachers left are shaun yap and lester lim. maybe some other chem classes will say mrs neo and ong chiau jin as well. with weiling also gone, there's really less familiar things back in ri. why does lala not leave ri? why must lala leave her stain on ri's 183rd founder's day by doing the citation speech for tim chow which is obviously templated from his testimonial that was written by lim jee nee?
anyway, after the ceremony, there was surprisingly no Unite cheer -__-" Anyway someone started to sing Voices That Care and everyone started singing. Quite touching I must say. Brings back memories. Memories that live on in our minds only.
Ytd, I realised that I have lost my aim in life ever since i went into rj. Last time, at least i still have npcc and csc to draw my objectives from. Now, it seems like the only objective for me is to do well in my studies, which is not healthy at all. I am the type which thrives when i m kept busy. Now, the sudden surge in free time is unsettling me. With no tasks to complete and no committments to adhere to, I find myself losing my compass in life. It would be a good time to sit down and do some self-reflection and draw up a new objective list for the rest of this year.
I hate being a drifter. Drifting without a destination in mind is unsettling. How I wish that there's still the stars above to guide me when my compass is lost.
