Today, while CQ and I were walking from school to J8, we saw this interesting barrier. It was one of those used numerously at construction sites, but this one is different. I took a photo of the other side of the barrier.
It was a smiley! Probably done by some construction worker(s) who was/were bored. It was a sad smiley evident by tears from the right eyes which were represented by white tape. Both of us actually walked past this same barrier on Monday but did not bother to take a photo of it. Saw it today again and thus decided to take it down now. Anyway, taking this photo caused me to miss 13 which just left the bus stop as I reached there :( Anyway, remembered reading a book of all the 散文s written in 星期五周报 back in 2000 which compiled these 散文s. One of them was on smileys and was written by a then-JC student. She said once she saw 2 construction workers painting a block. In a moment of fun, they painted a smiley and laughed before painting the smiley off again.shermon blogged @ 6:42 pm
