Being hot-headed takes on a new negative meaning. So, according to here, the reason why human brains are able to function better is due to the fact that our brain has a better cooling capacity compared to other mammals, just like our CPUs and the processors needing a fan or heat sink. Therefore, it does not pay to be hot-headed. It just impedes the brain's capacity to function.
