Read the Chinese papers today. It is kinda rare for me to do such things now as I rarely go to my grandma's house. In the lit section, I saw this article about having pets and owners suffering the agony of pets that died. The writer said something about him not wanting to have pets cos when the pet dies, the suffering is left to him alone, unless he said, it is a tortoise or turtle that can live longer than you, where you can leave all these sufferings to it. It is really sad that some people cannot bear to face up to life and death. No doubt that everyone is sad when someone/something near him/her passes away, but this is the law of nature, nothing can change it. It is better to leave the good memories behind than to dwell on the sad part for too long. After all, we have to move on in our lives. Call me an unsentimental person, but I believe it is good to be sentimental, if it does not interfere with your daily workings.
